Situated in a peaceful rural location, surrounded by fields with great views over Pitlochry which is just a few minutes drive away, the cottage sleeps 6 people in 2 double bedrooms, one of which is an en-suite and a twin bedroom.
There is a family shower room, a large dining kitchen, A utility room with washer and drier and a nice cosy lounge with TV, DVD and CD players.
All linen and towels are provided and the rate is inclusive of electric and oil heating.
A private garden with barbecue area is adjacent to the house.
Pitlochry is perfectly situated as a base to explore the area, within an easy drive are some of the most spectacular scenery and places to visit.
Visitors can enjoy wonderful walks from the doorstep, from easy routes to Munro’s the area has a number of routes to walk. Fishing and shooting can be arranged.
Pitlochry has a Salmon Leap, a man made ladder that the salmon negotiate as part of the natural migration north to spawn, situated at the Hydro dam which is open to the public.
The Pitlochry Festival Theatre is renowned for showing 6 plays in 6 days, it lies on the bank of the river Tummel with Ben-y–Vrackie (2733ft) as it’s backdrop.
2 distilleries are close by, Edradour, the smallest distillery in Scotland and Bells Blair Atholl distillery. Both offer tours to show how the amber liquid is produced. For retail therapy, Pitlochry has an abundance of shops, plus the House of Bruar, Scotlands equivalent to Harrods is only 8 miles away.
The Blair Atholl water mill still produces flour and oats and has a lovely tea room.
For the Golf enthusiast, Pitlochry has a great 18 hole course and there are many other courses locally. St Andrews is 1.5 hrs away and Gleneagles is only 1 hours drive.
There are many extreme sports companies in the area, offering white water rafting, canyoning, cliff jumping, quad biking and many more activities.
If castles are your thing, then we have Blair Castle, a striking building boasting it’s own private army the Atholl Highlanders, the only one in Europe which is 8 miles away and the 16th century Castle Menzies at Weem the seat of Clan Menzies just 15 miles away.
Also close by are many other interesting and beautiful places to visit, such as, Queens View, the Clan Donnachaidh Society at the House of Bruar for clan research, watch the Ospreys at Loch of the Lowes, the Beatrix Potter museum at Birnam, there are approx’ 11 gardens locally which are open to the public and many, many more places to visit.
The owners live in the main house which is attached to the cottage.
